Project files, autosave and crash recovery

Understand .lyricvideo project packages, autosave and what happens after an unexpected interruption.

Project files, autosave and crash recovery

Lyric Video Studio saves projects as versioned .lyricvideo document packages.

A project package can contain the project definition, media, waveform cache and other project cache data needed by the editor.

Autosave

The app saves project changes as you work so a normal editing session does not depend on repeatedly choosing Save.

After an unexpected interruption

When recoverable work is detected after a crash or forced close, the app can offer to restore or discard that recovery state.

Review the restored project before continuing with major edits.

Moving a project

Keep the complete .lyricvideo package together when moving or backing up a project.

If externally referenced media becomes unavailable, use Media Management to review and relink the missing file.
